However you run your properties, Trellis connects
Most operators bring a property management system, and Trellis plugs into it. Operators without one connect their booking channels straight to Trellis instead. Both paths end in the same place: every booking, guest message, and review in one inbox, with your calendar kept right on every channel.
Two ways in, one operation
Pick the path that matches how you run today. Switching later, or mixing the two, is normal.

Through your property management system
Trellis plugs into Guesty, Hostaway, Hostfully, Hospitable, Lodgify, OwnerRez, Kross, and every system connected through Calry. Your PMS stays exactly where it is, and Trellis reads reservations, guest messages, and property details from it. Guesty and Hostaway list Trellis as a certified partner.

Directly to Trellis
Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and Expedia connect straight to Trellis, with Decolar available for operators in Latin America. Bookings, guest messages, and reviews flow in, and your calendar flows back out to every connected channel. Trellis becomes the one place your operation runs from.
How the direct connection behavesThe direct connection
How connecting a channel works
No PMS in the middle. Three steps, and our onboarding team does the connecting with you.
- 001
We connect your channels during onboarding
You tell us which channels you sell on, and our onboarding team links each one to Trellis with you. Your properties and room setups are copied over from the channel, so there is nothing to rebuild by hand.
- 002
Everything starts arriving in one inbox
New bookings show up right away. Guest messages from every channel land in one conversation view with the reservation attached, and replies go back into the same thread the guest already has open.
- 003
Your calendar stays right everywhere
The moment a reservation is made or changed, the booked dates close on every other connected channel. Double bookings stop being something you check for.

Properties and room types
Copied over when you connect, then kept current.
Reviews

Availability and booking rules
Updated on every connected channel the moment a reservation changes.
Prices and stay rules
Nightly prices, minimum stays, and closed dates you set in Trellis go out to your channels.

Who connects which way
You run a PMS today
Keep it. Trellis works on top of the system you already trust, and most of our 45+ customers run this way. Nothing about the direct connection asks you to change that.
You are starting out without one
Connect your channels directly and run bookings, guest messaging, and operations from Trellis alone. You can add a PMS later without starting over.
Your PMS misses a channel
Some systems do not carry every channel you sell on. Connect the missing one directly to Trellis and answer its guests in the same inbox as everything else.
When a PMS earns its keep
A good property management system does real work: owner statements, trust accounting, a booking website, and channel setups that took years to refine. Trellis does not produce owner statements or accounting exports today, so an operation built on those should keep its PMS, and Trellis will run happily on top of it. We are certified partners of Guesty and Hostaway for a reason. If you are unsure which path fits, ask on the demo and you will get a straight answer.
FAQ
Connecting to Trellis
Do I need a property management system to use Trellis?
No. Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and Expedia can connect directly to Trellis. Bookings, guest messages, and reviews flow in, availability flows back out to every connected channel, and Trellis holds the calendar. Operators who already run a PMS keep it, and Trellis plugs into that instead.
Which booking channels connect directly?
Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and Expedia, plus Decolar for operators in Latin America. Bookings you take yourself, over the phone or from your own website, live on the same calendar. Each channel is switched on with our onboarding team, so you are never left connecting things alone.
What happens when a booking lands?
The reservation shows up in Trellis right away, and the booked dates close on every other connected channel so a second guest cannot take the same night. Your agents pick up the guest conversation with the reservation attached, and the cleaning and turnover work gets scheduled from the stay dates.
Can I run some properties through a PMS and others directly?
Yes. The two paths work side by side, so a portfolio split across systems still lands in one inbox and one calendar view. Operators use this when a new market opens before the PMS is set up there, or when one channel is not carried by the system they run.
When does a PMS still make sense?
When you need owner statements, trust accounting, or a booking website from one vendor, a PMS earns its keep. Trellis does not produce owner statements or accounting exports today. We are certified partners of Guesty and Hostaway, and we will say plainly on a call if a PMS fits your operation better.
Do my replies show up on the booking channel?
Yes. Guest messages arrive in Trellis the moment they are sent, and replies go back into the same conversation the guest already has open on Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, or Expedia. The guest sees one unbroken exchange, whichever side of the connection the reply came from.
