How we verify what we publish
The guides, comparisons, and statistics on this site exist to answer real questions from vacation rental operators, including questions where the honest answer is a competitor. That only works if every number is defensible. This page is the standard each published page is held to.

The rules
Named sources with retrieval dates
Every price, rating, percentage, or capability we state about another company traces to a named public source: the vendor's own pages, a named industry survey, or a published study. Comparison pages record the date each source was retrieved. When a fact cannot be verified, the page says "not publicly disclosed" and names where we looked instead of guessing.
Attribution at the point of claim
Claims are attributed where they appear, in the sentence that makes them, so a reader can check a number without hunting through footnotes. Guides carry a sources section listing every referenced page.
Vendor claims labeled as vendor claims
A figure a company publishes about itself is reported as that company's claim, not as an independent fact. Survey figures carry the sample they came from. When sources disagree, we show both numbers and say who reported each one rather than averaging them into a single figure that nobody published.
Honest placement for Trellis
Guides that include Trellis say so plainly, and Trellis does not win every row. Where a competitor is the better fit for a reader, the guide says that. Every guide that ranks Trellis alongside other products carries a disclosure sentence naming Trellis as the publisher.
Customer quotes only with written permission
A named customer quote appears on this site only after the customer has approved it in writing. An automated check runs on every release and fails the build if a named quote appears anywhere outside the approved list.
Dated and re-verified
Guides and statistics pages carry a published date and an updated date. When we revise a page, we re-check its sources rather than trusting the previous version. Comparison claims store the date each one was last verified.
Who writes and reviews
Articles are written by the people named in their bylines: the Trellis founders and team members who run vacation rental operations themselves. A second person reviews each guide before it publishes. The byline on every post links to the author, and posts carry both the published date and the date of the latest revision.
Corrections
If a figure on any page is wrong, or a source no longer supports the claim it is attached to, write to [email protected] with the page and the specific figure. We would rather fix a number than defend it. Corrected pages get an updated date; a claim we can no longer verify comes down rather than staying up unsourced.
First-party facts
Facts about Trellis itself, the company, product, pricing, and traction, live on the company facts page and are kept consistent with /llms.txt. Those pages state when each figure was last updated.
